Cambodia is located in Southeast Asia with over 15 millions people. There are interesting places to see and many amazing things to do. The biggest river is called Tonle Sap lake where tons of fish reside. A lot of farmers who live close to the river depend on this economy.
A lot of tourists who come to visit Cambodia enjoy visiting floating communities along Mekong river where they see the real life of villagers. It is very interesting to see how they live their simple life on water. Some have to make a living by fishing while others have to set up their fish pond themselves.
A lot of people use traditional tools to catch fish in Mekong river. Due to illegal fishing , law enforcement has been in place to punish those who destroy the environment. Therefore, recently, the government has been cracking down those who fish illegally especially those who use little hole nets which can kill small little fish.
There are different kinds of fish. Snake head fish is the common and popular. They live in rice fields, or river. Cat fish are also among the ones that Cambodians eat. They live in muddy places.
